Finally! The new Cross album is here!
Some of the compositions was written back in 2001 as it was meant to be recorded during the spring the following
year but had to be postponed due to the 11 September incident which stopped drummer Tomas Hjort, who lives in
N.Y., from being able to come to Stockholm. So, meanwhile Hansi recorded the successful Spektrum album and
then recordings for Playgrounds started back in August 2003.

The theme of Playgrounds:
"Life as a Game and Earth being our Playground…this time".
Musically it takes off from Secrets (released September 2000) with it's occasional nods to 70's great bands
such as Genesis or UK but mainly based on their own unique sound blending warm lush keyboards with heavier guitars
in a truly progressive and also pompous and symphonic manor.

All members of Spektrum appear in one way or another during this superb album containing songs ranging
between 1 and 15 minutes.
